The not so obvious...

The American family structure is probably one of the most renewable resources in the country but at the same time, one that is depleting faster than any other. As congressmen worry about oil and money, the fiber that IS the strongest part of American culture is becoming tainted.

"The Family is both the fundamental unit of society as well as the root of culture. It...is a perpetual source of encouragement, advocacy, assurance, and emotional refueling that empowers a child to venture with confidence into the greater world and to become all that he can be."
- Marianne E. Neifert

As quickly as it came, Thanksgiving has passed and despite the momentous occasion that is millions of people coming together to break [corn]bread, the weekend headlines were full of greed, violence, and things my Gram would call "ways of the world."

So, in an effort to not speak the obvious, I urge you to find ways to constantly renew your faith in the things that truly matter. I know people who have dreams and desires to rule the world. I know people who aspire to be wealthy and rich beyond all realistic expectation. The best of these people are the ones that understand that "the world" can be their household and being "rich" is the value that your family has for you...
